Gradually Opening Up

What a few months these have been!

A huge thank you to those patients who have consulted me by Zoom – it has been a pleasure to work with you, and to feel that even by video or telephone consultations I can still help you and your aches and pains and stiffness; to feel that I can make a difference.

I am gradually beginning to see a few patients in person, both in Welwyn and now in Hitchin, so do get in touch if you would like an appointment!

Text is easiest, or a phone call. If I can answer your call I will. If you get my outgoing message, then please leave your own message and I shall call you back.

There will however be a few provisos in place:

If you have a temperature or feel unwell – please let me know and cancel your appointment.

With the Welwyn practice I have always allowed gaps between patients since there is nowhere to wait. This shall now apply to Hitchin as well, and unless you are a parent bringing your child, please turn up on your own.

Please text me when you are outside and I shall let you in.

I clean all the touch points before and after your appointment.

And we shall both look a bit different!

– I shall wear a plastic apron and for new patients a visor; for existing patients either the visor or a mask. The visors are better for lip-reading and eye contact, but they do get hot!

– If you have a mask please bring it – I have masks available in both clinics if you forget.

– There is hand sanitiser available in both practices – please use this before and after your treatment.

ALSO – please bring with you:

– a large clean towel to spread over and under the pillows

– a clean sheet to spread over the treatment couch.

In Hertfordshire the rate of infection has been much lower than in the boroughs of Lewisham and Bromley – and the clinic is right on the border between the two.

For my Sydenham patients, I need to clarify what the clinic situation is with regards to cleaning, and also what I need to do.

At the moment I am looking at working Saturday 1st and 8th August as there will be fewer other people working there on those days, and then ease into midweek appointments again after that.

As with my Hertfordshire clinics there will be gaps between patients to allow for both social distancing and cleaning. I hope you understand my need for caution and delay.

Another way I can help you is through what you eat. This can be a powerful way of tackling issues around arthritis and inflammation, as well as shedding those extra Lockdown pounds which can themselves cause increased pain when you are carrying that extra weight.

My next detox programme, lasting 28 days, starts in early August, please click here for more information. There are special prices for couples, and the Early Bird offers close in the evening of Monday 20th July! Not long to grab your place.

I have missed you – both the osteopathic and cranial treatments, and also all the wonderful conversations, and I am looking forward to seeing you again soon.
