A rainbow of fruit and in particular a rainbow of vegetables π will help us all to manage our stress levels better.
We need our internal rainbow, our:
π REDs β tomatoes, raspberries, red peppers, cherries, red chard, radishes, red leaf lettuce, red onion etc
π ORANGEs β er oranges π and their smaller relations, carrots, orange peppers, mangoes, peaches, sweet potatoes, squash etc
π YELLOWs β lemons, grapefruit, yellow peppers, pineapple, yellow courgettes etc
π GREENs β watercress, rocket, kale, cucumbers, kiwi, green peppers, cabbage, romanesca cauliflower, herbs etc etc etc π
π BLUEs & π PURPLEs β blueberries, red cabbage, beetroot, aubergine, plums etc
As well as
π WHITE plants β parsnips, bananas, potatoes, onions, mushrooms, garlic, cauliflower etc
Indeed what we need is variety π
Whenever I run my Detox with the Moon (which helps you work out which foods are your friends, and which are best shunned) I encourage the members of the group to INCLUDE as rich an array of vegetables and herbs as they can.

At a nutrition seminar I went to, the speaker recommended that we aim for 30 different plant foods every week β it can be so easy to end up with a mono-diet, the same foods day in, day out.
This may seem daunting β and it might be worth thinking about what YOU have eaten this week.
However, we are not talking quantity β we are talking variety β and this includes herbs and spices. Trying a vegetable we havenβt eaten before is a lovely way to experiment.
This is where pre-blended foods can come in helpful β such as packs of mixed seeds and nuts, eg Linwoods; or those green blends with their extraordinary ingredients list of plants and herbs β the Organic Ms Green mix, which I bought at a local health food shop contains 15 plants, and Mega Greens (found it online) 32!
Mixing a teaspoon of one of those powders into a green juice or smoothie will supercharge your daily nutrition in a very easy way. Although if you need to avoid gluten, please note that they usually contain either wheat grass or barley grass, which may be problematic. In which case, spirulina powder is your best bet. Only one plant, but soooo healthy. Most supermarkets stop the Natura pouches of spirulina powder, in the healthy eating section.
And if you are meeting friends and family and eating out, as you peruse the menu you can still aim to Eat a Rainbow, and tuck into those veggies!
